We recently used the services of Lord-Brown and Harty and were extremely impressed by their professionalism and caring attitude towards the family. From the initial introduction of informing them of the death right through to the funeral itself, nothing was too much trouble and excellent communication throughout of the funeral arrangements and its progress.

Even the room where we sat for the initial notification of death was tastefully decorated complete with a grand piano, unlike some funeral parlours where you almost sit in a shop-window set-up.

Chris was the first person we met, whom we notified of the death and who took us through the type of funeral service we were after and the coffin type selection and what we wanted for the route by the hearse to the crematorium etc.  He showed great sympathy throughout the meeting helping put my mother-in-law’s mind at rest that her late husband was in good hands.

In subsequent communications, we also dealt with Jonathan, who was equally professional and once again, nothing was too much trouble for him.

The day of the funeral went very smoothly with the hearse turning up to the house in plenty of time, then following the route that we had asked for through to the actual funeral itself.

In summary, I would 110% recommend the services of Lord-Brown and Harty and would like to thank them very much from the family and wish them well in their future success.

As a family Chris was recommended to us following the sudden and sad death of my dad Stewart. From the first phone call with Chris I knew dad and the family were in the best care. Chris dealt with us with immense care, empathy, compassion and kept us informed throughout each step. He visited our home to meet with us, he provided much support to my mum.

On the day of the funeral everything was seamless, again dealt with professionally and totally in respect of dad. His team are a credit to him.

When I lost my Mum in October 2023 , Chris and Cheryl looked after us so well from the very beginning.
I felt fully confident that Mum would be cared for with the utmost respect whilst she was at their beautiful funeral home right through until the funeral,  and more recently,  the burial of her ashes with my Dad.
The care and support shown to us all throughout the process of planning the funeral,  the day itself and aftercare have been second to none.
Chris and Cheryl and all the team are simply wonderful.
They work so hard to make sure everything is just right, and truly care about loved ones and their families.
Their attention to every detail is so hugely reassuring at a time when you are dealing with a huge loss and all the inevitable but necessary admin that goes with it, and take such a lot of stress out of planning your loved one's final journey.
I will never be able to thank them enough for looking after us all so well.
I can't recommend Lord-Brown and Harty enough, they are simply amazing at what they do .

Where on earth do I start?? I was faced with the worst possible situation in my life - total shock, totally broken....😓😓😓. By chance I guess, Cheryl from LB & H arrived at the impossible scene and took control without doing that. From the first contact at the worst possible time she was just there! As things moved forward, all I had was total understanding, sensitivity and no pressure at any level. Every help with so much advice you can't envisage at such impossible times...... Well, I progressed with Cheryl's unwavering support and consideration to giving my beloved Best friend and Sister the farewell she would have loved.

I can't recommend Lord-Brown & Harty enough, their care and professionalism is second to none, they put you at ease and help you to not only plan the funeral for a lost loved one that you want but to also take a lot of worry off you while you grieve. Myself and my family have been through a terrible time in the last few months, we had a house fire that sadly took the life of my sister and Lord-Brown & Harty have been absolutely fantastic with us. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
